Looking back to how I started this journey
I've learned to develop some helpful routines to keep me going.
One of these routines is setting out my workout/running clothes and gear the night before.
When all the laundry is done, I've even set out my clothes for the entire week on Sunday night.
The benefits of having your clothes and gear ready when you wake up:
*You have less excuses about not working out/running.
*You get out the door faster.
*You're more likely to get up and get active!
*This is just me... I love putting on nice smelling and clean workout clothes! Lol.
Today's Food
1 multigrain toast, 1/2 TBS honey
1 cup Kashi, 1/2 cup 1% milk
7 almonds
2 corn tortillas, 6 slices turkey deli, 1/4 cup nonfat cheddar, tomatoes
chicken caesar salad with dressing on the side
1 orange
What do you do to get ready to work out faster?

That's a great idea! I always get frustrated when I can't find my workout gear and sometimes end up not going. I'm gonna try this technique and hopefully it gets me going. :)
I too set out my clothes the night before most of the time. I set my alarm clock 20 minutes before I am supposed to be out the door. I know then that I have to get out of bed and not snooze and 20 minutes is perfect for me to get dressed, brush teeth, put hair up and yaddi, yaddi yah!
How long did it take you to make exercise a habit? I am having a hard time with that ....
I always pack my gym back the night before or if I am home I put on my gym clothes when I get up in the morning, so thatI know that I have to go to the gym. I also pack my lunch the nigh before for work. I have a friend that makes ALL her lunches for the week on Sunday nights.
Because I am home all day with the kids, the moment my husband walks through the door I go running literally, you don't have to ask me twice for me time ;-)
I too like to have my workout clothes all raedy. It gets me prepared and there is less effort in the morning! To be completely honest I used to be the queen of excuses and I can only hope that my old habits dont return. This time around I have decided not to set myself up to fail. I will be active but this time not demand that I workout X days a week or X miles. Because the second that day came when I didnt meet my expections it turned into "well, i failed at exercise today so I may as well go to McDonalds". And this would just spiral downward from there. So now I am recognizing where I have gone wrong in the past and learning from it. I am so glad you posted about this today because getting myself mentally prepared is half the battle. And I think I will blog about it today! Thanks!
