I am tired.
This is probably premature, but I'm cutting down the days I'm doing P90X.
Some of you have been asking about whether I like it or if it even works.
Let me tell you.
I like it.
It works.
It kicks my butt.
It kicks my butt so much that I've decided I have "nothing left in me" after the workouts.
But then again I've been running four times a week, three miles a day.
My body needs to recover from both.
So I've decided that on the days that I run, I won't be doing P90X.
I know it's not what the program was intended for, but I need to look at my needs (rest, that is).
The twins can't have a "zombie mommy" 4 days out of the week.
I also don't want to quit reaching for my goals because I'm so tired.
That has happened in the past before this particular journey, and I've decided not to go to that ugly place AGAIN.
Here's the plan:
Sundays
rest or P90X Yoga
Mondays
run
P90X abs
Tuesdays
run
Wednesdays
P90X Stretch
P90X abs
Thursdays
run
Fridays
run
P90X abs
Saturdays
P90X
hula practice
Today's Food and Activities
3 mile run
1/2 cup Special K granola, 1/2 cup nonfat milk
7 almonds
1 bagel thin, 2 oz. lean turkey, 2 TBS nonfat cream cheese, tomatoes
7 almonds
veggie burrito with flour tortilla
Have a happy and healthy day!

You are kicking ass! Nice work M and way to realize you need balance. Cheers friend!
I think you know your body and what it can take. I have to have a day of rest and for me that is sunday. You are doing great.
Great way to listen to your body!! It's okay to make adjustments. I admire your ability to run!! I still struggle with that myself!! Keep it up!!
Hello. I am new to your blog. I saw you commented on Lyn's blog that you have two toddlers at home. I too am a stay at home mom with two toddlers. They are not twins but are a year apart. I applaud you for making time for yourself. I just came to this same realization a few months ago as well and have been taking some "time outs" for me. It makes me a better "me" and a better mommy too. I just want to say congrats on your success so far and keep up the good work. I am also on a weight loss journey of my own. Since meeting my husband I had gained about 75 lbs! I am currently down 47 of that and I find that blogging helps a lot! Take care :)

It sounds like a tough program. I'm not sure I could do it. No matter what I think we all need a balance.

You totally inspire me. I don't even have kids but I know SO many people who don't make the time to workout when they have kids. I plan on getting pregnant in the next year or so and you make me realize, that after babies, you can still be hot and sexy :)
