I've been doing a lot of thinking and praying lately.
I've been thinking and praying about how to deal with my stepkids.
I've heard several times from several people that the best way to teach yourself to like/love another person (who isn't easy for you to like/love) is to serve them.
What am I going to do?
I'm serving them pie.
I am!
Seriously.
Well... that's one of the things I've decided to do for them.
I was set to bake a couple of these pies for Saturday when they're here, and my hubby just told me that their mother wasn't letting us have them this weekend.
She's lovely. (sarcastic tone, here)
I'll just make something else when they come in a month.
I've also decided to compliment them more on the good things they do.
My husband is a good man, husband, and father.
I want to let him know that I support him and show him that I love him by serving his children.
I know in my heart that when you give "good," you get "good" back.

Hey I can relate to this post. I to have 3 step children, who are grown now. I love them and their kids, but it was a hard battle. Their mother treated me really bad over the years. So treat them with kindness and support them the best you can. Good luck..
Am sure your kids will miss the pie. It is the one in the pic? Yummy!! Seriously, i enjoy seeing your progress towards losing weight. I also hope you will have the same strength of character as you face the challenges of your blending family.
