Some Sad News

My husband and I have been praying about some major decisions we have to make as a family. Today we've decided to file for bankrupcy. It wasn't supposed to go this way. We were supposed to raise our family in our current house and watch our twins grow up with the kids in our neighboring church. The "up side" is that we'll have a fresh start. There is a chance we might be able to rent out the exact model of our house that's at the street just behind us. To do this, we'd have to move quickly. We worked very hard to make a nice home for us here. We put down new carpet, travertine, and wood floors. Now we have to say "goodbye" to it. I need to remember that "home" is where your family is. As long as we're together, we'll be okay. Heavenly Father will take care of us. There are so many reasons why bankrupcy is the best option for us, I know. We are very upside-down on our current home and some land we invested in five years ago. We are also upside-down on our only car. We've cut down a lot of spending, but my husband is the only one working now. For me to go back to work isn't an option as the twins are barely 19 months old and no one in my family can watch them during the day. I just pray that everything will turn out okay.

Last night, I made Oriental Steak Stir Fry. It was delicious. It tasted just like my mom's recipe but without all the fat because I chose a leaner meat. It's definitely something I will make again. I think I'm going to start posting the recipes I like here, so you can try it too! I also did Cardio Bootcamp for one hour yesterday.

In a few minutes, I will be doing Turbo Jam Cardio Party for one hour.

I've had leftovers of the Oriental Steak Stiry Fry and 1/4 cup of rice today. As you can see, I don't eat "breakfast food" at breakfast. LOL.

I hope you're having a happy and healthy day.

I'm so sorry for you. Last year, my good friends in my neighborhood went through the same thing. They ended up moving twice after they lost their home. They have rented two different homes in the general neighborhood. They no longer go to the same church as those that lived by their home but have been able to stay in close contact with everybody. You should try to get the house like yours a street over, if you like the neighborhood. Last year was a tough year for my friend's family, but they made it through it and are doing well. Just like you will! Keep the faith!

I'm so sorry to hear about your news. Have you ever heard of or listened to Dave Ramsey? you can go to daveramsey.com to learn more about him. By doing his program I was able to turn my whole financial life around. We are still paying off some debt, but we did have to file for bankruptcy. Maybe check it out, if anything for a little hope.

I am so sorry to hear about your situation. You are very strong to share this story with us. I know that you will be able to build up your family in a new location and in no time it will feel like "home" again.

{{{hugs}}} that is hard. I'm sorry. I hope you do get to stay in the neighborhood and find a place you like. You're right about home though, it is where the heart is.
